Our Ethos

Our aim at Alpha Learning is to engage our learners in education and provide them with a safe and supportive environment in which to realise their potential.

Sport is only one of the many strategies we use to enhance learning, build confidence, self-esteem and promote an ethos of self-worth. The key standards surrounding sport are to always strive for success and work hard towards your goal; our positive environment supports and promotes these values.

Alpha provides an extensive educational package for our learners. We offer a range of GCSE, BTEC, NVQ, functional skills and preparation for work certificates. In addition to this, we also offer an extensive PHSE programme, developed by our staff and personalised for our learners.

We have a  an EAL department to promote inclusion and equality, we have found this extremely successful with some of our students returning to mainstream school as their grasp of English had improved so significantly, with other students remaining with us, integrating with non EAL lessons and achieving qualifications with us.

At Alpha Learning, we believe that education is important but only part of the picture, we offer a range or enrichment activities to provide our students with new experiences and widen their horizons. If we identify a interest or an avenue for growth for our students we always endeavour to meet that need internally or by bringing in external provider.

We work closely with Parents/Carers and any other agencies in order to ensure good passage of information between all relevant people.
